September 2023
4th Opening night – meeting members old & new. Payment of Subs. Overview of the upcoming syllabus. Review of last year’s best images.
11th Image assessment evening. Members to bring along prints or digital images on memory stick for appraisal by several experienced members.
18th Club Speaker – Neal Weston gives us a talk on what to expect at 6th November workshop.
25th Post processing, print papers, print profiles & printing a selection of some members files.
October 2023
2nd Members night. 1. Members summer images. 2. Talk by Ian Lawrence on his ICM images.
9th Indoor demonstration of studio lighting setups by David Clark from Laurencekirk
16th Open 1 competition. Judge: Lenny Smith – a new judge for MCC.
23rd Guest Speaker – Brian Northmore talks about landscapes on his home area of Dartmoor. This talk will be on Zoom only.
30th Members night 1. External competitions explained with judging 2. Members successful image review with settings & setups explained.
November 2023

13th Open 2 competition. Judge: – Neil McGoldrick – another new judge.
20th Camera phone contest – see how creative fellow members have been with their camera phones throughout the year.
27th Guest Speaker – Shahbaz Majeed – tells us about behind the scenes on BBC Landward & his trips to the Faroes islands.

4th Open 3 competition. Judge: Bob Humphries – a regular MCC visitor.
11th Guest Speaker – Andy Hayes from Fettercairn returns with a talk on Scottish Wildcats

8th Abandoned, Decay & Dereliction competition. Judge: Andy Hayes ARPS, DPAGB, EFIAP
15th Guest Speaker – Kevin Pigney gives us a talk on his Flash for Wildlife & Macro techniques. This talk will be on Zoom only.
22rd Portfolio competition – club members show us 5 images on a theme of their choice & describe to members followed by vote.
29th Members night – Drone evening presented by members who are Drone pilots – stills & videos.
February 2024
5th Open 4 competition. Judge: Chris Bell – Chris’s second visit to MCC.
12th Guest Speaker: Andy Hall, MCC Honorary member talks about ‘A retrospective of Favourites’ which’ll be interesting to see.
19th The 3-Way Competition – our regular inter club contest between Cambridge CC (New Zealand), Islesburgh CC (Shetland) & Mearns CC. Live on Zoom or pre-recorded if required.
26th Practical night in or outdoors – Light painting or bad weather indoor alt. presentation by Alan & Kevin on their light painting journey.
March 2024
4th Portrait competition results Judge: David Clark – a well-known face & visitor to the club.
11th Outdoor low light and/or macro walkabout or quiz night indoors for inclement weather
18th Inter club competition between Deeside CC, Donside CC & MCC. MCC hosts it this year.
25th Guest Speaker: Tammy Marlar from London with her illustrated talk on her Wildlife Photography – preceded by her Workshop.
April 2024
1st Members night 1. Practical demonstration on Long exposures 2. Talk by club member – TBC.
8th Digital of the year competition. Judge: TBC.
15th Print of the Year competition. Judge: Ian McCurrach from Aberdeen.
22nd AGM
29th Awards and Social evening.
